Howdy! All...Life From University Place/Tacoma Location
We are going to be offering Mushroom Cultivation classes starting in April. Learn how to grow virtually unlimited amounts of oyster mushrooms on coffee grounds that are free for taking. Our speaker will also discuss and demonstrate methods of log and stump inoculation, growing mushrooms on wood chips and straw, and growing mushrooms in the garden on compost. Classes are $20 and last around two hours. They will be held in University Place at our Permaculture/Organic Garden Our speaker has been involved in mushroom cultivation for over 20 years and teaches a class at Raintree Nursery in Morton and Seattle Tilth and Olympia. . We have a class scheduled for May 26th 01:00 pm - 03:00 pm The cost to cover materials is $20.00. This pays for the gas and the speaker will have wood and spawn on hand for students to purchase. We will provide coffe/tea and some snacks.
